Just Like A Real Piano
The YDP164 design makes it just like a real piano from the feel of the key through to the emanating sound. The keys have a synthetic ivory coating so they have great grip so your fingers wont slip, whilst the GH3 (Graded Hammer) action offers the authentic feel of a grand piano.
The piano sound is taken from the Yamaha CFX concert grand which has a beautiful tone, clear treble and rich bass, perfect for all styles of playing style.
Learn To Play The Fun Way
Yamaha have made sure the YDP164 integrates with the Smart Pianist app. The app offers up a fantastic way to learn to play by following on screen score for all difficulty levels combined with the ability to play along with your favourite songs. The app can read the songs in your tablets song library and will work out the chords so you can play along with your songs!
Great With Headphones
Yamaha have developed a fantastic system for use with headphones with means you do not loose the spread of sound. Acoustic Optimizer creates the illusion of the sound coming form the piano in front of you when wearing headphones so youc an enjoy your piano playing without disturbing anyone else and still enjoy the full sound of the instrument.
