The YDP164 Rosewood offers the complete all in one solution for the budding pianist. Starting with the authentic feel of a piano with the graded hammer action, you can play the likes of the Yamaha CFX concert grand piano sample right in your front room. The compact and modern design does not detract from the sound quality with advanced features such as the Intelligent Acoustic Control and Stereo Optimizer and it will even integrate with the free Smart Pianist app giving an enlightening and fun way to learn to play.
Fun and Educational
Learning to play piano has never been so easy at home. The YDP164 links in with Yamaha's Smart Pianist app which is compatible on a range of Android and Apple tablets/ smart devices. The app has a selection of classical pieces for learning to play and displays the musical score on the screen so you can follow it and play along with the original. The app will also scan through your music library on your device and you can then choose any one of the songs to play along with. The app will then work out the chords fo the song you have selected and display them on the screen so you can play along with your favourite music! This saves having to try and find original music in original key etc which can be difficult and time consuming. Being able to play along with your favourite music really makes you want to play.
9ft CFX Concert Grand Inside
Despite its modern and compact design, Yamaha have given the YDP164 a high quality sample from one of the greatest grand pianos - their Yamaha CFX concert grand. The sound offers a blissful bass and clear treble for a piano that can be delicate or powerful depending on your playing style.
Maintain A Balanced Sound
Yamaha have added some great features to ensure your sound quality is maintained whether your playing at lower volumes or even wearing headphones. IAN *Intelligent Acoustic Control) maintains the tonal quality of the sound at lower volumes so you can enjoy full clarity and depth at any level. But when having to use headphones, the Acoustic Optimizer system makes it sound like your not wearing headphones and the sound is coming from the piano right in front of you!
