MODX8 Plus replaces the previous MODX8 model with a few changes up its sleeve bringing it ever closer to the flagship Montage model. It's immediately recognizable with the new all black sleek looking case with standout print where as the more subtle changes include a brand new modulation and pitch bend wheel with rubberized coating and additional weighty feel taken direct from the Montage. It is topped off by an enhanced sample capacity of 1.75Gb matching that of the Montage models.

The MODX8 Plus model has 88 note graded hammer piano touch which feels superb. It offers great dynamic response for the 2 sound engines (AWM2 and FM-X) with over 2000 preset performances. The top panel houses the famous Superknob controller able to control 128 parameters at once, smooth sound switching capabilities and a powerful pattern sequencer to put your ideas down and chain together to build an entire song. It is recommended for anyone performing at home, in the studio or for live performance.

The MODX Plus is also available in 2 other keys variations: MODX7 Plus with 76 Keys and MODX6 Plus with 61 keys.

Yamaha's Super Knob is the ultimate all in one parameter control. The Super Knob can tell one player to turn up while another turns down. You can change the shape of notes from long to short, bright to dark or move a player from being right next to you to the back of the concert hall.

The Super Knob allows simultaneous control of up to 128 parameters in a single Performance. This means you can control mix functions like volume, pan and effect sends or detailed synth parameters like filters, LFOs and Operators.

Go hands-free with the FC7 foot controller making it easy to manipulate the sound when playing with both hands.

MODX8+ SMART MORPH - Morph FM-X Sounds

Smart Morph enables morphing between FM-X sounds. Its sophisticated A.I. algorithm creates an interactive morphing map from up to eight FM-X sounds. You can �play� this map from the touchscreen or use the Super Knob to move between two points. The result is a staggering number of interesting and interactive new sounds.

MODX8+ Integrated Flash Memory

MODX+ includes 1.75GB of non-volatile, low latency user flash memory with high speed reading/writing for your own custom samples or synth libraries from here. Samples can be imported directly from USB and quickly assigned to keys for immediate playback.

MODX8+ High Quality Effects Processing

MODX+ is packed with DSP innovation, power and sound quality to bring you everything from high-definition reverbs to detailed Virtual Circuit Modeling (VCM) effects. Get EDM sound with effects like Beat Repeat, Vinyl Break or Bit Crusher. Use the Spiralizer effect to create the auditory illusion of tone continuously rising or falling in pitch.

MODX8 plus - Sidechain

Sidechain is a popular effect in modern dance music where a pad or other sustain part is �keyed� to the kick drum. When the kick drum plays, it ducks down the sustained part creating a �pumping� rhythmic effect.

MODX8+ Connect - DAW Integration

MODX+ Connect is a convenient tool which lets you transfer data between your computer and the MODX+. Song data created on the MODX+ can be transferred to your computer and the Performance data edited on the MODX+ can be saved as a file (.X7B) on the computer.

MODX+ Connect, based on Steinberg�s VST3 technology, works as a VST3 plug-in with the Cubase series. The MODX+ Connect also works as the same way as other VST instrument software, allowing you to save the edited settings of the MODX+, or use them for another project.

MODX+ Connect also works as an AU plug-in. For AU compatible DAW software, refer to the separate Release Notes. It can also be used as standalone software.

MODX8+ Multi-Channel Audio Interface

As expected for modern computer-based music production, MODX+ features a professional 4-in/10-out, multi-channel USB audio interface. Coupled with two A/D inputs, MODX+ is a perfect centerpiece for any professional recording studio or live computer rig. A single-cable connection replaces the need for an external audio interface.

MODX8 plus - Rhythm Pattern

Drummer running late again? MODX+ Rhythm Pattern is like a built-in drum machine with easy access to thousands of patterns from a front panel button. Quickly add a rhythm when songwriting, practicing or waiting for the drummer to set up, or show up.

MODX8+ - Motion Sequences

Motion Sequences are tempo-synchronized, completely customizable control sequences that can be assigned to virtually any synthesizer parameter and provide incredible new ways of creating sound.

Motion Sequences also have dedicated controls on the front panel making it easy to manipulate and change in real-time, providing incredible interactivity and expression.

MODX8+ - Envelope Follow and Audio Beat Sync

The Envelope Follower converts audio into a control source for control of virtually any synthesizer parameter. For example, a drum loop could drive effects parameters for a cool rhythm or a vocal recording could control multiple parameters for a �talking� synthesizer. The audio can even be a �live� source through the A/D input.

Audio Beat Sync (ABS) detects the beat of an external device like an electronic drum kit, drum machine or audio player plugged into the A/D input and synchronizes the MODX+ Arpeggiator, Motion Sequencer or Songs to the tempo of the external input.
