Construction
Consisting of a one sold piece mahogany body with a beautiful maple cap this guitar not only looks fantastic but has ampul of sustain and resonance! With a bolt on maple neck and beautiful nitro satin finish this guitar just screams quality craftsmanship and style! The mahogany body provides all the sustain and low end you could need with the maple cap and neck providing that extra twang to your sound this really is a match made in heaven.
Pickups & Hardware
In recent years PRS have started creating a wider range of pickups all based on vintage style PAF pickups but with modern twists to make them more suitable for the modern guitarist. This year they have introduced the new 85/15 pickups that focus on providing the best pickups for the modern guitarist. When compared to other pickups like the 58/08s and 59/09s these pickups have impeccable clarity with extended high and low end to make sure you can get the tone you want every time you plug it in. Finished off with Nickel hardware using PRS's fantastic tremolo bridge system you can play to your hearts content knowing your guitar is staying in tune, especially being matched with their fantastic locking tuners also with a nickel finish.

My first impressions of the CE's before seeing them was that I wouldn't be much of a fan due to me already owning a Core range Custom 24 and preferring a glued neck to bolt on. Long story short I was wrong! When unboxing the first shipment of CE24's we had arrive the finish on these guitars was just un-describable, they looked absolutely stunning and being limited numbers we ordered a couple more straight away. As you expect from every PRS the build quality was second to none they felt solid and sat in your arms perfectly! The next thing which I was impressed by was the neck, i'm a very picky guy when it comes to neck shapes and sizes and these with the pattern regular neck just felt right, especially with the satin finish on the back it undoubtably felt better than the glossed pattern regular which I am used to playing.
At this point I was just searching for something bad to make me feel better about my model hoping there was something I could pick out to justify the difference in price but I just couldn't! When plugged in I expected a little less sustain and resonance than mine due to the bolt on neck but if anything there was more! the tone was extremely clear and sounded exactly as you would expect from an american made instrument! In conclusion this guitar shocked and surprised me as well as upsetting me slightly due to already having a custom 24 and wanting to add one of these to my collection and the answer is if i had the money I would have bought the first one through the door without even thinking about it! Come down and play on one in store and you will not be disappointed what so ever!
