B-Stock direct from the supplier, this particular guitar was on loan to an artist fro a short amount of time and has some very minor light scratches to the back of the guitar. apart from this it is in mint condition with everything working as it should so including the original case and paperwork.

Construction

The Brent Mason signature guitar is made up of a Korina body known for being a similar tone to mahogany but superior, cut to a smoothed out double cutaway shape which is more traditional than your normal core range PRS. Joined to the body is a Bolt-on maple neck not normally associated with PRS this has a satin finish to the back allowing for a smooth transition up and down the neck. The neck is topped off with a rosewood fretboard featuring 22 frets across a 25 1/4" scale length. The neck is cut to a Pattern neck the most popular and widely used neck shape with PRS players.

Pickups and Tones

This particular PRS model differs from any other in tone and pickup options. Whether you are a fan of dual Humbucking mahogany monsters or snappy alder bodied guitars with single coils, this model does both! It comes fitted with a pair of PRS 408 Humbucker pickups as well as a 305 single coil in the middle position. These 408 humbuckers are also fitted with a coil tap like no other, usually when the coil tap is engaged it cuts off one coil of the humbucker, however this results in a volume drop, PRS have managed to allow this coil tap to add more winds around the slug coil when this happens to allow volume levels to stay even. All of this is controlled with a master volume, master tone and a 5-position selector switch. Having the 5 position blade switch paired with the coil tap allows you to easily achieve fantastic 'strat' like sounds with ease.
