Yamaha have carefully chosen their woods on the FG800 guitar. Not just for sound but for longevity and quality. The FG800 makes use of a solid Spruce top and Nato/Okume back and sides. Solid Spruce offers great wear resistance and longevity but also offers clarity and clear tones. Combined with the clever bracing the low and mids have been controlled adding warmth whilst not loosing clarity. The combination with the nato back and sides offers everything the guitarist needs for all styles of music.
