Construction

Unlike the rest of the Yamaha A-Series guitars the A5R is built in Japan to the highest quality using only the top quality woods available. Featuring a solid sitka spruce top treated with the amazing A.R.E wood-torrefaction technology, paired with solid rosewood back & sides the perfect match for a stunning acoustic tone with ampul resonance and sustain. This wood combination perfectly shaped into a dreadnought cutaway body size, means you get warm and vibrant tones with plenty of volume and projection.

SRT2 Pickup System

The A5R comes fitted with Yamahas fantastic System 71 pre-amp system which not only produces a fantastic sound but looks neat and tidy with its smaller impact to the guitars body and 4 control knobs giving you all the control you would need in a live situation. Paired with this fantastic system is yamahas fantastic SRT2 pickup which is known world wide for producing a fantastic natural acoustic sound through any PA system. You also have the added benefit of a second pickup being an SRT Piezo Pickup, you have the ability to not only switch between the two pickup options but also blend both together to achieve the optimum sound for whatever the situation.
