A Cutaway Dreadnought body delivers full sound and fretboard playability, with a glossy Solid Sitka Spruce top and satin finished Sapele back and sides for bright, punchy tone.

Crisp, black binding flanks the solid-wood body and continues up the fretboard. A Venetian cutaway adds dimension to classic Dreadnought styling, while the tone of Sapele is faithfully amplified via the Taylor Expression System. The 300 Series is truly the performer's workhorse, combining technology and craftsmanship with understated style.

Taylers refinements to the dreadnought have brought modern enhancements to the look tone and playing experience, while still retaining the essence of what classic dreadnought players crave. Over the years the body curves were subtly softened from it`s boxy outline into a smoother contour that aligns well with the design aesthetic of other Taylor shapes

Tonally, Bob Taylor revoiced the guitar to optimize the volume and bass response while also boosting the mid-range, preserving the tonal balance from bottom to top. He also enhanced the clariy and overall articulation, giving flatpickers more tonal definition on fast runs.
