Featuring Takamine's compact but big-sounding NEX body style, solid-top construction, elegant appointments and an upgraded electronics system, the GN75CE is a sleek and stylish acoustic/electric guitar that is all about great looks and premium sound quality. Delivering everything you need to hit the stage and look good doing it, the GD75CE features a solid spruce top and quilted Maple back and sides that produce a rich, detailed sound. The maple neck and bound rosewood fingerboard provide great feel and playability, while the onboard Takamine TK-40D preamp system gives you a built-in tuner, three-band EQ and gain controls, mid contour switch, notch filter and EQ bypass switch for the ultimate in versatility and sound quality.
Body
The top of this guitar is made from high quality solid spruce which gives the guitar a fantastic and full sounding tone. Paired with a flamed maple back and side, not only does this guitar sound fantastic but looks stunning! Both finished off with a Wine Red finish it really does stand out from the crowd. Straight away when you look at this guitar the thing that stands out the most is the beautiful floral design inlay on the pick guard, not usually found on any of there G-series range this is truly a stand out guitar from its fellow G-series models.
Neck & Hardware
Joined to the body is a Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard to be lightweight yet durable! Down the fretboard you have beautiful Oval Pearled inlays which again you would only normally find on the higher end Japanese models. Paired with a black headstock face and gold tuners the look of this guitar is outstanding. Known for their fantastic and smooth necks paired with a 42.5mm nut width the neck feels extremely solid and comfortable in your hand.
Pre-amp & Pickup
The guitar comes fitted with Takamine's TR-4TD G-Series Pre-amp which can be found on most of the Takamine G-Series guitars, it consists of a gain knob, a tuner, an active shelving system EQ with bass, middle, and treble frequency slider controls, and a low battery light. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard mono instrument cable into the endpin/strap pin jack. Unplugging the cable switches the pre-amplifier off. The TP4T Pre-amplifier is powered by a single 9 volt battery. This Pre-amp provides fantastic clarity and warmth to your tone.
