Construction & Sound

Featuring a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides this guitar not only looks fantastic but produces a fantastic rich sound. Whether your playing finger-style or boldly strumming this guitar the sound is extremely articulate and dynamic making it suitable for which ever type of acoustic playing you might have. Due to this guitar featuring a Solid spruce top not only does it sound great to start with but over time as the wood matures the tone of it gets gradually better and changes in different ways dependent upon the conditions it is kept in making every single one eventually unique sounding.

NEX Body Style

Takamines NEX body shape is basically the big jumbo shape they are known for but scaled down so that it is extremely comfortable even for the smaller player. In keeping with the jumbo it has a larger scaled back and and a venetian-style cutaway to give you access to the higher frets but still keeping that warm town which is generated from having a larger bottom end to the guitar.

Pre-amp

The guitar comes fitted with a Takamine TP-4TD pickup which gives you a built in tuner, 3-band EQ and Gain control so you have full control over your sound when playing live so no need to touch the amp or PA you might be going through you can tweak your sound without having to move anywhere. As well as this the built in tuner mutes the pickup allowing you to tune quietly which is fantastic when gigging as you can easily adjust your tuning between songs with ease.

Other great features include a synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle, Rosewood headcap, abalone rosette and dot inlays, gold die-cast tuners and a beautiful gloss finish.
