Construction & Sound

The guitar consists of a Solid Spruce top with Rosewood back & sides but a strip of Quilted maple has been places downt the back of guitar to make it look absolutely fantastic. The neck is made of Mahogany and has a fat and wide shape which feels great in your hand and comfortable to move up and down the neck. With the addition of a solid top this guitar not only sounds great to start with but as the top ages it matures differently down to the conditions which it is kept allowing the tone to improve over time and become unique and personal

For players seeking stage-worthy features and an uncommon look, the GD93CE features a solid spruce top, rosewood sides and a beautiful three-piece rosewood/quilt maple back. The slim mahogany neck and 12"-radius bound rosewood fingerboard provide great feel and playability, while the onboard Takamine TK-40D preamp system gives you a built-in tuner, three-band EQ and gain controls, mid contour switch, notch filter and EQ bypass switch for the ultimate in versatility and sound quality.
