14" Digital Snare

The PD-140DS digital snare pad works with the high-speed processing in the TD-27 module to bring the ultimate expression to your snare work. A three-layer mesh head is fitted to a standard 14-inch shell, providing natural rebound and feel that's instantly familiar. The multi-element sensor system tracks your strokes across the pad in precise detail-even cross stick techniques are detected.

18" Digital Ride Cymbal

With its standard 18-inch size and familiar motion, expressive players will love the CY-18DR V-Cymbal Ride. The pad's high-resolution, multi-sensor system detects every stroke from edge to bell, working with the TD-27 module for ultra-detailed dynamics and response. Techniques from cymbal rolls to soft bell strokes are fully translated, and you can even mute the bow and bell with a gentle finger touch.

Thin Crash Cymbals

New full-size crash cymbals deliver the most organic and expressive playability to date, with the looks to match. The design for the 14" and 16" cymbals is 40-percent thinner than previous generations, offering even response, improved stick feel, and the natural swinging motion of acoustic cymbals.

Responsive New Tom Shell Sensors

Toms include all-new sensor systems developed for the series' wooden shells. A sophisticated structure inside the shell eliminates hot spots and provides accurate, dynamically even response across the entire playing surface of the head.

Flagship Kick Sensor System

Each kick drum contains advanced sensors from the full-size KD-220 kick found in the flagship V-Drums TD-50KVX. Roland's innovative air-damper mechanics "move air" through the wooden kick shell, producing resistance as the beater hits the head for an authentic acoustic feel. Double pedals are supported too.

Digital Trigger Inputs and Kit Expansion

The TD-27 module features three high-speed digital trigger inputs, working with the PD-140DS snare and CY-18DR ride to bring incredible response and tonal variation to these core instruments. And with the unused third digital input and up to three auxiliary analog trigger inputs, you can easily expand your kit with additional pads and cymbals as needs grow. Included with the VAD506 and VAD503 kits.

Organic Sounds, Ready to Play

Featuring over 700 instruments, 55 preset kits, and 100 kits in total, the tonal range of the TD-27 module is vast and varied. And with kits newly created for the V-Drums Acoustic Design experience, you'll enjoy instant acoustic gratification for everything from blues, jazz, funk, and country to hard rock and metal. Many kits also include electronic elements for modern styles, and you can import your own WAV samples via an SD card and freely combine them with built-in sounds.

PureAcoustic Ambience Technology

New PureAcoustic Ambience Technology optimizes each kit, creating an incredibly natural and immersive sound field when playing. But you can go deeper too, and adjust the mic position on each drum kit, and dial in the overall sound with the newly developed overhead mic simulator. Finally, advanced onboard multi-effects and mixing capabilities give you the power of a full-scale studio console, with transient, parametric EQs, compressors, reverbs, delays, and more at your command.

Crafted Drums for Modern Players

When developing V-Drums Acoustic Design, we started with full-diameter, real-wood shells, fitted with bespoke and highly accurate sensor systems. Alongside the luxurious Midnight Sparkle finish, we also added heavy-duty chrome hardware throughout, designed to perform under pressure and look great under the spotlight.

Real Wooden Shells

Full-diameter shells are shaped from multi-ply laminated hardwood, with custom Midnight Sparkle wraps in the VAD506 and VAD503 kits, and an attractive black gloss wrap for the shallow shells of the VAD306.

Custom Chrome Hardware

Every piece of chrome hardware is custom designed and manufactured by Roland. Hoops, brackets, lugs, and claw hooks-designed to perform, built to last, tested to destruction.

Advanced Tom Sensors

All-new tom sensors give the most natural feel possible while completely eliminating the hot spots that plague other e-drums. The larger PDA-120 and PDF-140F toms include three-sensor arrays, while the compact PDA-100 uses a unique offset sensor for optimal performance.

Practice, Jam, and Record

Each V-Drums Acoustic Design kit contains practice features to make your drumming sessions enjoyable, productive, and rewarding. Play along with songs and tracks streamed over Bluetooth, brush up your skills with onboard exercises, or record your drumming and instantly listen back to evaluate your progress. Bluetooth Streaming

Wirelessly stream music from your phone, play along with your favorite bands or run through tunes for your next gig. An analog mix input is provided as well, so incoming sounds can be blended via a grab-and-go knob.
