      The Mapex Black Panther Nucleus is a hybrid shell Maple/Walnut 14x5.5 Snare drum that possesses Ferocious attack while also having a full bodied tone. This snare drums consists of 2 contrasting wood types, Maple is one of the most widely used woods for snare drums due to its overall warm tone perfect for multiple genre types, Walnut is a much harder wood which is know for producing a powerful and focused attack. The 8.1mm shell gives the nucleus all that it needs to sit perfectly in any mix of any genre of music.
