Construction

Crafted using Gretsch's tried and tested techniques you have a durable laminated maple body with a hollow design. This gives you that fantastic resonant and acoustic tone that Gretsch guitars are known for. The body shape is similar to the old popular G5420T model but scaled down to allow for more comfortable playing and lightweight feel. Fitted to the maple body is a centre block which not only makes the guitar more solid but also allows for any amount of gain to be used without the worry of noise issues associated with hollow body guitars. Joined to the body you have a 22 fret maple neck. The neck is cut to the classic Gretsch thin U shape design which feels solid from top to bottom with ampul grip.

Electronics & Hardware

The New G5655TG comes fitted with the ever popular Black top Broad'tron pickups. These pickups give you the classic american Gretsch sound and are as close to a full blown american Gretsch sound as you can get. You have control over these stunning pickups from independent volumes (Bridge & Neck), master tone and master volume controls. The added benefit of the master volume allows you to set independent volumes between the two pickups and then have an overall master volume control meaning you can have different levels for the different pickups and still have full control over the overall output volume. The G5622TG also comes fitted with a Bigsby tremolo and tune-o-matic bridge, finished off in a stunning gold it not only looks fantastic but gives you the benefit of allowing slight tremolo to full vibrato.
