Construction
Starting with the body, cut to the traditional telecaster body shape which is comfortable and allows for easy access to the high frets. The body is made of of Ash which has chiming highs, a well defined midrange and strong low end. Used in the a lot of Fender's guitars due to its fantastic tonal properties and rigidness. Bolted to the body you have a traditional maple neck which is cut to thick soft V neck profile, this is a slightly more rounded off version of the 50s V profile. It is designed to give you the era specific feel whilst still being comfortable and filling your hand nicely allowing for lots of grip. A top of the neck you have a modern designed maple fretboard with a 9.5" fretboard radius and and medium jumbo frets which allow for smoother bends on the higher register.
Pickups & Electronics
The Vintera 50's telecaster modified comes fitted with a set of top line Fender Custom shop pickups. Starting off with the bridge you have a vintage style single-coil which provides a bright and crisp tone and retains clarity when pushed. In the neck position you have the slightly hotter Twisted tele neck pickup, this pickup is known by telecaster players around the world for its fat and full sound and slightly higher output than your conventional telecaster single coil. These pickups are controlled by a 4 way selector switch rather than your conventional 3-way switch, this adds the option to run both pickups either series or parallel, You also have the standard master volume and tone controls. usually saves for Fenders top line guitars you have S1 switching which paired with the 4 way position switch allows you to achieve masses of tonal variety, the main benefit of the S1 switch is that it alows you to switch the pickups to out of phase position when pushed allows for an awesome "strangled" tone.
