Construction

Made of the highest quality ash, the body is not only lightweight but feels and sounds fantastic. Cut to the classic stratocaster shape with contours which allow the guitar to fit snug against your body and make it even more comfortable than ever. Paired with a maple neck and fretboard fender really are sticking to the traditional 'strat' styling. At the top of the neck you will find the traditional fender stratocaster headstock fitted with a set of sealed machine heads which provide great tuning stability and control.

New Neck Profile

The new Deep-C neck profile that you'll find on the Fender American Professional Stratocaster is a slight change from the Fender American neck players have been in love with for years. By adding a thicker profile to the back, the Deep-C carve fills your hand perfectly while never inhibiting your playing technique, giving you ampul grip allowing for more controlled and precise playing. Your fingers will immediately notice how much control they have on the fretboard's narrow-tall frets, chosen as the most popular fret size to come out of the Custom Shop.

Electronics/Pickups

New and improved pickups have been added to the American professional line up! Now fitted with three Tim Shaw-designed V-Mod single-coil Stratocaster pickups which are engineered using a proprietary blend of alnico magnet types for the neck and middle pickups. Each pickup is voiced specifically for its position, creating high-output tone with vintage warmth and the crisp, clear sound that made the Fender Stratocaster a legend in the guitar world. Paired with Fender's treble-bleed circuit which maintains the high end when turning down the volume knob to reduce gain, letting your tone shine through, no matter where the instrument's volume is set.
