Exceptional Playability and Quality

The RSS02T Revstar Standard from Yamaha gives guitar players plenty of tonal options at an affordable price! Starting with the body which is made up of mahogany with a maple cap, it is chambered to make it lightweight but still provide warm and resonant tones. Yamahas new and unique chambering technique allows them to relieve a lot of the weight whilst shaping the sound and providing even more resonance. Joined to the body is a 3-piece mahogany neck which is reinforced with carbon rods to give it extreme strength and provide great tuning stability.Joined to the neck is a rosewood fretboard sporting 22 jumbo stainless steel frets which are stronger and more resiliant than normal steel which is mostly used. The back of the neck has a stain finish which feels smooth and prevents any sticking.

Masses of Tonal choice

This RSS02T Revstar standard comes fitted with a pair of VP5 Alnico V P90 pickups which provide a boost in the Upper-mid range with extreme clarity. P90's are known for having the higher output of humbucker pickups due to more winds but with true single coil tone. Controlling these pickups you have a 5-position blade switch. On position 2 & 4 you have out of phase settings which gives you more tonal choice straight from the guitar. As well as this you have a master volume, master tone and a Push/Bull "Focus Switch" which gives you a passive boost to allow for more grit when you need it.
