TF5 - TouchFlow Interface
With so many differing and demanding setups/ environments, a digital desk must be intuitive, accessible and easy to operate. The TouchFlow colour touch screen operation of the TF desk ensures intuitive operation, time saving features and easy navigation of the many capabilities of the TF5 mixing console.
Want to adjust EQ? Simply use your fingers on the touch screen to select a frequency, and drag its gain up and down, adjust its frequency by dragging left or right and even adjust its Q point/ band range by simply using pinch gestures on the screen. It really could not be simpler.
QuickPro Presets - Instant Professional Settings For Mics and Output Equipment
The Yamaha R&D team developed a selection of optimized QuickPro Presets for a wide variety of microphones and output equipment by working in collaboration with well-respected engineers and major manufacturers such as Audio-Technica, FitEar, Sennheiser, Shure, Ultimate Ears and Westone Laboratories. With these practical presets even the novice engineer can get very close to the ideal sound, while experienced engineers will appreciate the significant time savings. For input channels there is more than 200 presets that range from vocals to drum sets. All the presets were precisely tuned by using a wide range of actual microphones, instruments. For output channels a range of presets offer a variety of speaker systems and in-ear monitors such as Ultimate Ears with several variations to match different environments and room sizes. All of these can be used when time is tight, but they are also great starting points for manual fine tuning.
Of course, if you create your own adjustments and settings for your own gear - these can be saved as individual settings for recall on any channel whenever you want to use them in any venue. Saving time on the initial setup for any single channel.
Yamaha TF5 - Flexible Setups With Easy Storage And Recall
Whether used for live bands, theatre or studio use, the TF5 offers highly flexible routing capabilities and all your setups can be stored and recalled with ease. For example - with 16 AUX outputs for example you can have dedicated output ports for subwoofer, and main stereo outputs as well as using every other aux output for completely customised monitor/ in-ear returns. Once all outputs have been routed, balanced, EQ'd etc the entire setup can be stored as a scene for instant recall at any point.
The scene memory features banks A and B, each capable of holding up to 100 scenes. That's a total of 200 scenes that can be set up and instantly recalled whenever needed.
TF5 - Custom Mode For Complete Control In One Mode
Imagine needing access to certain aux outputs, groups, and inputs for speed and convenience but having to switch modes between input, output of aux send for example is simply not viable for speed. This is where CUSTOM mode gives you complete control.
Each of the channels strips can be assigned to be whatever you want it to be - for example Channel Strip 1-5 could be the inputs from any of the channels 1-32 whilst 6-10 could be the AUX sends for different aux outputs. Everything is clearly displayed per channel on the digital scribble strip offering you complete customised control of the essentials right in front of you without the need to change modes all the time.
TF5 - DCA Group Control With Roll Out Faders
When the GROUP fader bank is selected, all faders other than DCA masters 1 through 8 function as Roll-out faders. Selecting one of the DCA groups instantly "rolls out" the input channels belonging to that group to the Roll-out faders. This useful function makes it easy to adjust the level and other parameters of individual channels while using the eight DCA faders for overall mixing.
Yamaha TF5 - Remote Control Via App - Monitor and Stage Mix Control
Whether you are a musician on stage or the sound engineer the Yamaha TF5 will work with the free Yamaha apps offering all the control you could ever need. Check out these Yamaha Apps below.
Yamaha MonitorMix App
The MonitorMix application for TF5 allows individual wireless MIX / MATRIX / AUX mixing from up to 10 iPhone, iPad or iPod touch devices simultaneously. Each performer can have convenient control over the MIX / MATRIX / AUX buses assigned to them, without having to deal with complex settings or parameters. They can also create personal Group settings for even easier adjustment: all levels on just one fader, for example. Even large bands can have the personal control they need, reducing demands on the sound engineer.
TF StageMix App
The StageMix app allows an engineer to control every aspect of the mix and sound from any location. Being able to go front of house and listen to what is actually happening out front, and control the sound the audience hears in real-time is simply crucial to getting the best possible mix. Access to all parameters is possible via a compatible tablet and settings can all be stored and recalled from the app. The Tf desk does need a compatible modem connecting to the network port in order to be able to access it from the app.
