Used - Yamaha Motif XF7 Workstation With 1Gb Flash
The Motif XF7 was an incredible synth workstation with fully fledged features for sound and song creation, sampling and more. Our used model is complete with warranty and 1Gb flash card + extra free software, its in used condition so there are marks but everything works as it should and has been fully checked and tested by a Yamaha authorised technician, most of the sliders and all the rotary pots have been replaced so working great, one of the knobs on one of the sliders is missing as you may see in the photos, of course the slider still works, we have ordered the replacement knob but it may come in before its sold or it may be longer. Yamaha Motif XF7 Official Details
The Motif XF7 is a 76 note fully fledged synth and production instrument with 16 track sequencer, new 741Mb waverom, advanced arpeggiator and powerful sequencing/sampling capabilities. The XF can also be expanded with additional Flash Rom so users can easily install custom samples and add new sound sets. Up to 2x 1Gb flash card can be installed offering huge sound potential.
The Sounds - Xpanded Articulation
The motif XF7 makes use of XA (Xpanded articulation) sound technology which brings to life sounds for greater realism and response. Sounds can be played in a variety of different ways for different styles of music by the touch of a single button bringing to life the true sounds of the real instrument. Take for example a guitar, strings can be picked and harmonics played by a real guitar and XA can bring these real-life nuances into your music at the touch of a button.
VCM Effects
Virtual Circuit Modelling effect take processing to the next level - revolutionary technology that enables to create highly accurate digital copies of analog hardware. The result is a warmth and naturalness that is normally not found in digital instruments. There is a huge choice of effects in the Motif XF and up to 8 effects processors can be used simultaneously across different tracks of the sequencer. The potential for sound processing becomes huge!
Versatile Sequencer
As a workstation the MOTIF XF offers 16 tracks of sequencing power with in-depth editing right down to individual note level and also has features to allow your creative juices flow. The versatile pattern mode can be used as a song building block or used live to switch between song sections and backing parts.
Pattern mode allows users to make loops with up to 16 tracks and then join them together using a chain mode. This makes song building a breeze - put down your favourite riffs and patterns such as bass, drums etc and then make the fill in then the bridge and eventually join them together in realtime or step mode. each pattern section can also be switched using the buttons on the top panel of the Motif XF so it works as a a live tool for performance as well.
Easy To Use Interface and Realtime Controls
A colour screen interface makes light work of accessing all the sounds and features of the Motif XF. A logical layout of buttons around the screen and across the front panel make it fast and easy to understand. All the sounds are easily accessed using the bank and program buttons or users can use the sound category listing screen which separates every sound into their own sound categories. Also prominent on the front panel are the real-time controls and sliders. These are perfect for either studio or live work allowing the user to change volumes, EQ, effects settings, assignable controls, arpeggiator parameters and more all in real-time and in a easy to understand layout.
Flash Expansion
Motif XF can be expanded with up to 2Gb of flash memory. This allows users to install samples, expend using Yamaha's premium and free sound library and sample directly into the Motif XF. Flash cards retain their memory with power off so there is no additional loading time required when the instrument is turned on. The in-built sampling will allow users to add audio for songs or sound creation allowing for massive creative potential.
DAW Integration
Motif XF integrates with almost any DAW system. Out of the box it includes Cubase AI which is a light edition of Steinberg's Cubase Software. The supplied software allows you to create songs and record audio/ midi data, add effects and processing and more. Motif XF transfers audio down a single USB cable as a 2in/2out interface so audio can be recorded at top digital quality. An in-depth computer based free editor allows full sound selection, editing, effects control, and more all from the connivence of your computer screen. With full transport controls on the top panel and sliders/ knobs to control the software, the Motif XF can become the hub of your studio system.
