The powerful, iconic, clear sound of the Recording Custom have been recorded in their entirety with the help of a renowned engineer. Tuning and adjustments have been kept to a minimum so that the original sound of the drum kit can be enjoyed.

Update your home kit with DTX-PRO

By connecting the DTX-PRO module to a compatible DTX module via USB cable, now you can use the DTX-PRO as a host module (USB Trigger Link function). In other words, if you have a compatible kit, you can enjoy the DTX-PRO sound with your electronic drum kit by adding the DTX-PRO and USB cable.

Compatible Kit: DTX900 series, DTX700 series *Some functions of DTX900 and DTX700 are not available.For more information, please refer to the "DTX-PRO DTX-PROX Reference Manual".

Yamahas all new drum Module

The heart and soul of any electronic drum kit is the sound module. The DTX-PRO module features 712 different sounds, with 40 pre-set kits ready to play straight away. Using the vast amount of sounds provided, you can customize and create up to 200 user kits, allowing you to instantly re-call for custom set-up. The sounds on the DTX-PRO are recorded in professional studios in high resolution, with careful consideration to the attack and release of each drum and cymbal to achieve a natural and realistic experience.

The sound of an acoustic drum is massively influenced by the room that it is in. Using the three kit modifier knobs on the DTX-PRO, you can quickly and easily adjust the ambience, compression and effects added to each pad, creating a whole new ambient sound or even add some crazy effect to your overall kit sound.

The 'Ambiance Modifier' knob changes the environment of the chosen pad. This is achieved by controlling the amount of sampled real-room sound that is added to each drum sound. This alters the reverb, attack and decay of the chosen pad to accurately replicate the ambiance sound you choose.

The 'Comp Modifier' adds compression to the entire kit sound. This helps each part of the drum kit to sit nicely within the mix but can create a more aggressive sound when turned up high.

The 'Effect Modifier' controls the audio sends and returns from the two build-in processors. This allows you to choose which pad is sent to which processor, to apply the desired effect.

Easy to follow training programs

The DTX-PRO includes a programmable metronome, versatile and easy recording possibilities, ten exercise programmes, and 35 practice songs from a range of genres to help improve your improvisation. These features allow you to play, learn and practice as much as you please, across a large range of drumming styles.

Edit and record with Rec'n'Share

Rec'n'Share is a free app for iOS and Android which allows you to connect your module to a compatible iOS or Android device. Once connected, you can record drum performances as audio tracks or even video. After your recording is complete, Rec'n'Share offers a range of audio and video editing features, and allows you to upload your completed track or clip to social media platforms.
