In addition to the NW(Natural Wood) keyboard with synthetic ivory keytops, the 88-key Linear Graded Hammers reproduces the unique weight of each key over the entire keyboard. A GP Response Damper Pedal gives you the same sense of control as a grand piano and the RGE Sound Engine provides exquisite playing response and tremendous expressive power letting you to play however you want. The audio design has been reworked from previous models including an additional subwoofer so that during ensemble performance, the low tones of bases and kick drums are reproduced with even greater intensity. The CVP models greatest benefit is their versatility , if you want it to just simply be a great Piano , it is. If you want to be inspired by CD quality full band or orchestra arrangements that you can play along to , you can. If you want to be educated with on screen score that waits until you play the right note and encourages good timing , its there. If you want to compose and piece together full arrangements and save them as an audio file , you can. If you want to plug your guitar into it and utilize the amazing speaker system and add effects to your guitar, and even record your guitar along with keyboard arrangements , you can do that as well. It will do anything from teach your 4 year old to play twinkle twinkle little star , to a full professional arrangement , or even just play it as a keyboard with all the accompaniments similar to a top of the range arranger keyboard product like the Tyros 5. Its just the ultimate all round musical instrument that can suit the needs of many different types of players, beginners , professionals and hobbyists.
The size and clarity of the screen is also a big pulling factor , especially when using facilities like the score or music finder, which can be a little inhibiting on the models with a smaller screen
The sounds are laid out in a very logical and easier to navigate way. For example If you choose the organ family , rather than having page after page after page of organ sounds as on previous models , its much more logically laid out so that you can choose between pipe organ , tonewheel organs and so on , so that in each sub category you haven't got a ridiculous amount to choose from , very easy to get to the sound you want .
