The HS3 is equipped with clever design to ensure the resulting sound is true to the heritage that HS monitors are world renowned for. Class-D amplifiers, using quality components, ensure accurate amplification of frequencies whilst a 'Twisted Flare' bass port lets the air flow smoothly from the strong MDF cabinet allowing much smoother bass and less chance of bass resonance within the cabinet. The result is a clean, detailed sound with a rather surprising amount of bass depth from a 3.5" woofer.

Multiple Input Options

The rear panel of the HS3 is equipped with combination XLR/TRS phone, RCA, and stereo mini connectors, allowing you to connect to a wide range of professional and consumer equipment such as computers, audio interfaces, audio mixers, and electric instruments. The most commonly used features-power button, volume knob, and headphone connector-are located in the front for easy access.

Adaptive Sound

Despite their compact size the Yamaha HS3 is ready to cope with any environment. ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM functions allow you to make adjustments to achieve the ideal sound no matter where your speaker placement. For example - It allows you to reduce the unneeded, exaggerated low-end that can often occur when speakers are placed next to walls or compensate for high frequency offset from reflective or sound absorbent surfaces.
