Plenty of Tonal Options

The brand new Vox Cambridge 50 comes with masses of tonal variety, starting off with 11 amp models to choose from. These amp models consist of a wide variety of models from well known Clean amps, the classic Vox ac30's, high end boutique models all the way up to classic crunch and high gain monsters. These amp models use Vox's own VET technology which not only models the sound of the amp but the circuitry and individual components which gave these classic amps their voicing. With a Nutube mounted in the preamp circuit, you get the added depth and warmth produced by a valve amp without any of the reliability issues and service costs. You can have control over these amp models via a Gain, Bass, Treble and volume control, as well as an overall power level control.

Built-In Effects

The Cambridge 50 comes with 8 different effect types to choose from, these effects are split into two sections Modulation and Delay/Reverb. In the modulation section you have a choice of, Chorus, Flanger, Organ Phaser, and Twin Trem. In The Delay/Reverb section you have a choice of, Analog Deley, Tape Echo, Spring Reverb and Hall Reverb. These effects allow you to create and shape your own tone all in one compact gig ready box without the need of external pedals.

Additional Functions and usage

The Cambridge 50 also boasts a mass of features which allow it to be used for a vast number of situations. Firstly you have a built-in USB interface allowing you to connect straight to your computer via USB and record instantly using the fantastic pre-amp built into the Cambridge. There is also a built-in tuner, Aux input for your backing tracks or music, and a headphone/line out jack. The line out jack has built in Cabinet simulation meaning you can plug straight into your favourite PA system but keep the classic sound characteristics of the amp.
