Roland's FR-1x piano type accordion brings authentic accordion sound and feel to the digital relm. The sound from this v-accordion is truly superb. A built-in full range speaker system with bass reflex box shows off the high quality in-built accordion sounds with PBM (Physical Behavior Modelling). Advanced bellows pressure circuits ensure a traditional response and feel whilst other features include USB connection for MP3 playback and fantastic MIDI functionality built-in for triggering keyboards and sound modules - effectively offering limitless sound expansion. To top it off the FR-1x can be battery powered and is lightweight offering the best all round virtual accordion solution.
FR-1x V-Accordion Piano Type
The V-accordion models are available in two types; Piano and button. The Piano type has 26 velocity sensitive keys where the button type offer 62 velocity sensitive buttons for the right hand. This FR-1x is the piano type. This version is ideal for keyboard or piano players that may wish to learn accordion and the keys will be more natural for them to play.
Range of High Quality Sounds
The FR-1x contains a selection of high quality sound from accordion to tone-wheel organ. There is a nice selection without going overboard in choice with sounds such as strings, guitars and vocal samples as well as some brass. This adds to its versatility as an all in one instrument.
The accordion sounds are world class - There are 16 Accordion Sets (including 4 User Sets), each one including: 14 Treble Registers, 7 Bass/Chord registers, 7 Free Bass registers, 7 Orchestra Free Bass registers, 7 Orchestra Bass registers and 7 Orchestra Chord registers.
Advanced Bellows Circuits
Roland have adapted an advanced pressure circuit design to make playing more responsive and adaptable for the player. This also aids wiht the Physical Behavior Modelling such as detection of bellows opening/closing to re-create in superb detail how a traditional accordion would respond.
It is possible to adjust the bellows response curve from light to heavy to facilitate differing types of players technique. Modes include: Fixed Low, Fixed Med, Fixed High, X-Light, Light, Standard, Heavy, X-Heavy.
Real Instrument Nuances - PBM
PBM (Physical Behavior Modelling) re-creates the subtle nuances and noies that the traditional instruments have when played in differing ways. PBM on the Roland FR-1x offers features such as Stopping-reed growl, Closing valve noise and even Left button noise!
USB Storage and Playback
Play along with your favorite music or load in new sound settings via the built-in USB port. The USB can play back MP3 files, so you can fully load up a USB with your favorite tunes and play along without any cables required from external devices.
Its also possible to store your custom sets and load new sets of sounds from the USB.
