Line 6 Helix LT Guitar Processor
What Line 6 Have to say:
The streamlined Helix LT boasts the same dual-SHARC processing and professional-quality HXTM Modeling found in the flagship Helix Floor and Helix Rack amp and effects processors outperforming all other products in its class. Features include a player-friendly interface with a large colour LCD, capacitive-touch foot switches for easy editing, an onboard expression pedal, analog and digital I/O, and a USB audio interface.
Dual DSPThe Dual SHARC DSP used in both the Helix and the Helix LT are the next big step forward in guitar modelling! With massive amount of power they allow the Helix to accurately re-create true sonic characteristics and dynamic range provided by both modern and classic guitar amplifiers. The modelling power produced by the new DSP technology allows the Helix to model a wide variety of amplifiers down to component level. Each amps individual component has been measured, captured and matched to be as close to the real thing as it gets. This paired with 193 dB of dynamic range give the Helix LT a huge edge over its competition. |
HX Hybrid Cab EmulationLine 6's new cab emulation technology is different than the standard IR system used by most other manufacturers. Providing the same resolution and low end accuracy you achieve with a 2048-point or higher Impulse Response whilst only using half of the DSP power. The Helix LT gives you a choice of 16 different microphones and 23 different recording positions allowing for studio quality and flexibility at home or live on stage. |
Top Class EffectsSimilar to how the amp simulation works the effects in the Helix LT it models them on an individual component level. This process emulates the behaviour of virtually any germanium or silicon transistor diode, making it possible to authentically recreate fuzz, distortion, and other pedals once considered too persnickety to convincingly model. A good example of this is the Throbber which is a "virtual lightbulb" that mimics the decidedly nonlinear behaviour of the small incandescent bulb and four photocells inside the original 1960's Uni-Vibe pedals that are essential to their unique sound and vibe. This technology allowed the Helix LT to perfectly model the quirks and characteristics of both vintage and modern effect pedals. |
User-Friendly Interface & Easy ControlThe Helix LT has to be one of the easier guitar processors to use on the market, with a large LCD display laying out the full signal chain right in front of you, you can see exactly whats going on at a quick glance. Deep menu diving is no more, the layout used on the Helix makes editing patches simple! simply select the component in the chain you wish to adjust whether this is the amp, cab, or effects and adjust the parameters with the control knobs! it's as simple as that! The introduction of Capacitive Touch Footswitches gives additional hands free control without the need for additional switches! Simply tap the switch to change effects, adjust parameters, or assign controllers. You can simply assign any item to a switch in a matter of seconds! |
SnapshotsSnapshots now allow up to 8 easily switchable variations within a single patch! This is a seamless and instant transition without any audio dropout or effect disruption. They can be saved, stored, shared online and recalled instantly at the touch of a switch meaning you can focus on your playing and less on which pedal to press next. |
The Four Cable MethodThe Helix LT has a variety of ways it can be used, straight into a PA, into a desk for recording, or straight into your favourite guitar amplifier. If you already have a great guitar amp and you are wanting to use this alongside the Helix the four cable method will be the best way to get the most out of whats available. Running two cables to the send and return on your amp on top of the normal method of connection allows you to decide what effects go through your amps effects loop and what goes in front of it. Typically you would want your delays, reverbs and modulations thought the effects loop whilst you boosts, distortions and compressors go in front. The Helix LT is as simple as having your own pedalboard at your feet with the routing options available. |
Helix Edit SoftwareAs well as being to edit your sounds on-board the helix you also have access to the Helix edit software. This gives you all the flexibility the unit gives you but with a larger display and drag and drop functionality. This software allows you to simply drag and drop effects and amps in the chain where needed. This allows you to make complex signal chains in a matter of minutes. |
Seemless Variax Guitar ControlThe Line 6 Variax guitar has been designed to work perfectly with the helix, you can use it to switch guitar models with your feet or even control helix parameters from the guitars on board volume and tone controls. This gives you huge amounts of control in live situations whether you are using your feet or the control knobs on the guitar. |
