Korg Kronos Upgrade
A larger drive and RAM is ONLY of use when the user is considering purchasing Korg sample libraries, sequencing lots of audio in the sequencer (no relation to MIDI data) and when creating their own sample libraries.

The most substantial sound powerhouse ever created in a music workstation, the Korg Kronos 88 houses a huge choice of 9 different synthesis types covering every genre you could imagine. The new sounds are access using Virtual Memory Technology (VMT), aided by a fast SSD (Solid State Disk) providing high polyphony and massive, ultra-long, and unlooped samples; offering unheard of performance from a hardware instrument.

Versatile Sequencer
Korg have pushed workstation sequencing to a new level. 16 Track MIDI sequencer combined with a 16 track hard disk recorder. Upto 4 tracks can be recorded simultaneously on the audio recorder and both the MIDI and audio sequencer can access any one of the Korg Kronos 88s vast effects system. Up to 16 effects - 12 insert effects, 2 masters and 2 total effects can be used all at once opening up creative potential never before seen in a Korg workstation.
SST Technology
The Korg Kronos is the first Korg product to offer Smooth Sound Transition. On many instruments you can hear an uadible glitch in the sound when moving from one path to another. With the Korg Kronos SST technology this age old problem is no more. The new system allows the user to change between patches or performances and the sound smoothly transitions across to the next. It is the perfect feature for the live musician.
