The Fender Classic 72 Telecaster Custom features many of the options from the several designs issued during 1972. A simple, yet incredibly versatile design, since the introduction of the original Tele in the early 1950s, guitarists in all musical genres have relied on the Fender Telecaster guitar for its powerful tone and smooth playability.
1972 was a great year for the Telecaster guitar, which was by then available in several designs and with more appointments than ever before. The Fender Classic 72 Telecaster Custom features many of those options, including an alder body, a C-shaped maple neck, bullet truss rod, 1970s vintage hardtail strings-through strat bridge, three-bolt neckplate, a Wide Range humbucker at the neck and a traditional single coil pickup at the bridge. Controls include 2 volume and 2 tone knobs plus a 3-way toggle switch.
