Brand New for 2020
At 2020 NAMM Gretsch released this stunning new colour to the streamliner range of guitars. This new Gunmetal finish is extremely classy and pairs perfectly with the chrome hardware. This finish has a slight flake to it meaning pictures do it no justice at all, it has a slight sparkle which stands out under lights.
Construction
The G2420 features a true Hollow laminated maple body which gives you a raw and acoustic element to your guitar tone unlike anything a solid body model can produce, due to this the tone woods vibrate freely. joined to the body you have a nato neck cut to the U profile which Gretsch players have come to love, it provides plenty of grip up the neck and feels solid in your hands. Topped with a Laurel fingerboard garnished with pearloid hump block fret markers which pair perfectly with the chrome hardware.
Pickups & Electronics
The secret to the Streamliner's sound is a new pickup option from Gretsch. The new BroadTron BT-2S humbucking pickups. These have been designed specifically for the Streamliner range of guitars, They boast a high-output, improved definition and tighter bass response for robust lows, pristine highs and a throaty midrange. This sonic power is harnessed and shaped by the traditional Gretsch control layout with independent neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, master volume control and three-way pickup switching.
