Construction

Yamaha have really pulled out all the stops on this CSF3M, Using a compact body size making the guitar much more travel friendly whilst ensuring the guitar has no loss of tonal qualities. Starting off with its Solid Sitka Spruce top cut from one single piece of spruce to allow for as much resonance as possible. This top is fitted with Yamaha's newly designed bracing which is louder and stronger in the low-mid ranges giving you plenty of volume from a smaller body size. To compliment the Solid Spruce top you have Solid Mahogany Back & Sides, mahogany provides you with a clear and crisp Mid-range punch which compliments the top beautifully. Joined to the body you have a Nato neck topped with a rosewood fretboard which feels really comfortable from top to bottom, the frets have been rolled to give you that nice played in feel all across the fretboard.

Electronics

The CSF Series come fitted with Yamaha's Passive Zero Impact Pickup system, This system was designed to give players a very natural and acoustic sound. true to its name the Zero impact pickup system has no 'nasty plastic' on the body of the guitar, keeping it very simple with no external controls or tuner it gives you a very vintage and subtle look to the guitar. The pickup utilizes individual piezoelectric elements for each string to faithfully reproduce the natural tone and sound of the guitar.
