Epiphone Les Paul Standard

Budget Guitar with real bang for buck

Make sure you hear what this guitar can do before you consider buying anything else. This guitar is affordable, what's more it's also unbelievably good. So good in fact, that Gibson put their name on it. Even though it's made by one of it's children companies: Epiphone. Come to your local store (946-950 Blackpool Rd Preston or 117-121 Chorley Old Rd. Bolton)

The Epiphone Les Paul is a budget version of the classic Gibson original. Available in a wide range of finishes including the stunning Heritage Cherry Sunburst (pictured) there are countless reasons to purchase one of these instruments.

The most important of all these is the fact that it is so close to the original. In terms of playability and sound this guitar comes extremely close to the original. The mix Mahogany/Alder body and flamed Maple top go quite some way to replicate the tones of Gary Moore and Jimi Page. The Epiphone USA pickups do a good job of imitating the handwired pickups of the Gibson guitar. This guitar has oodles of sustain. Just like the original. Trapezoid inlays, plastic green tuning pegs and even a Gibson trus rod cover almost make you believe it's the real deal. Until you see the "Epiphone" label, of course!

And the Epiphone Les Paul Standard costs under half of what a Gibson Les Paul costs.

Why the difference? Well, it doesn't come with a hard case to begin with, although at the competive prices we're offering for hard cases that shouldn't affect your consideration of this instrument.

Like most things in life, the devil is in the details and you really have to look into the details before you see the differences between the Gibson orignals and their Epiphone equivalents. Essentially, it's all about the wood. The Gibson Les Paul uses top grade Mahogany wood and AA Grade Maple to insure that the sounds produced are clear, precise and flawless. The Gibson is also hand cut from a slab of mahogany, whereas the Epiphone. Is not
What the Epiphone Les Paul lacks in the quality of it's woods and craftsman ship. It more than makes up for in value for money. This guitar is simply stunning value for money. Sounds and playablity this good quite simply do not happen often for under £1000. Never for under £500.
