Roland Cube Amplifier is made perfect
The original Roland Cube series of amplifiers were excellent. Superb amplifier sims, effects and ease of use propelled the amp into one of our top sellers and a firm favorite with our customers.
But we were always wanting more, little features that were missing that could have made the cubes even better.
Well now we have them. Most notably is the in built tuner. Any self respecting amplifier aimed at beginners really should have this feature. Roland have implemented it well. Essentially, you switch the tuner on and then using the same dial that changes the amplifier setting you select which string you wish to tune. A simple system of three LED's tells the user whether their string is sharp, flat or in tune. Switch the tuner back off and the amplifier is brought back to life.
Another interesting feature is the power squeezer. Designed to allow the user to drop the output volume of the amplifier without losing too much clarity and deffinition.
Finally, Roland implemented an auxillary input so that we can plug in our mp3 or CD players at leisure.
Whilst we still don't have backing rhythms or even a metronome, Roland manage to pull out the stops with the already stunning COSM modeling system. Bringing us extremely high quality and signal processing. So the trade off for the lack of backing and rhythm tracks is superior digital modeling.
