Hailing from Northern Spain, Admira Guitars are the creation of Enrique
Keller Fritsch. Founded in 1944, Kellers craftmanship and expertise have
secured Admira a place at the very pinnacle of the Spanish Classical Guitar
market. For many years Professional Musicians, Enthusiasts, Students and
Teachers have owned, played and consistently recommended Admira Guitars.
With a comprehensive range of models suitable for all pockets, Admira
Guitars continue to be "The Best Selling Classical Guitars in the
World".
The finish is Enrique Kellers secret blend of synthetic varnish, applied
thinly enough to allow the wood to do its natural thing. Very impressive pieces
of wood used, the aforementioned cedar top having a good, tight, even grain
(and the smell)... Back and sides are a deep, dark rosewood with some lovely
grain patterns running through. The samaguilla neck is nicely shaped and flat
enough at the back to allow the hand to sit comfortably. The Rosette is
attractive enough, actually inlaid marquetry, not a sticker! Fret finish is ok,
no highs or lows to buzz away although you dont get that hand finished look
that you would find on a much more expensive instrument but Admiras selling
point is that they offer a good overall package for the money.
The Admira Virtuoso is a 4/4-size solid top guitar. It has a solid cedar top
with beautiful rosewood back and sides. With rosewood on the fingerboard and
darkened binding around the body, this is one good looking guitar. M.R.A Award
winning model.
