Fender Standard Stratocaster Black Maple Neck

        Construction

The Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar in the world. Through countless years of research and development Fender have perfected the formula for this guitar and just how it should be made. Plus when you buy a Stratocaster you know the sound and feel you want. The question is just how hot do you want to go. As with any Fender Mexican Standard model you can expect a guitar that is made to the high standard of craftsmanship that looks as beautiful as when the guitar was first introduced in 1954. Made with the same combination of an Alder body, Maple neck that will never go out of style this strat has the same beautiful crisp and clear sound that we have become accustomed to.

The maple neck offers a supple yet rigid playing support. Shaped to the modern "C" profile, both new players and seasoned pros will appreciate the ease with which this shape allows you to perform. The satin finish on the rear of the neck prevents any tackiness from affecting your movement during performances, whilst the gloss finish to the front prevents untimely wear from affecting the maple. Married to the neck is a 21-fret maple fingerboard. The fingerboard radius is shaped to the customary Strat 9.5 inch radius, giving the smooth shape that we've all come to know and love. Executing speedy licks across a Stratocaster neck is one of life's joys.

        Iconic Stratocaster Tone

The Fender Standard Stratocaster is fitted with 3 single-coil strat pickups with the bridge pickup being offset giving you the classic stratocaster tone we have all come to know and love. Control comes in the form of a 5-position pickup selector switch, as well as tone controls for the neck and middle pickups, and a master volume pot. The simplified setup belies the complex range of tonal options at your fingertips. Whatever style of music you play, with so many choices and configurations the standard strat will sound great no matter what style of music you play.
