The CT-140SE Travel body is derived from an Auditorium shape that's been scaled down to 23.5" for comfort and portability. A great choice for players of all ages and sizes, it's exceptional alternative to downsized instrument normally reserved for young strummers

Construction

Starting off with the body shape you have the classic grand auditorium body but scaled down to make it even more compact and portable. Fender designed their new Travel body shape to be more portable whilst retaining the comfort and playability of the full scale variant. The body consists of a Solid Spruce Top matched with Rosewood back & sides. This combination gives you a rich mid-range and fantastic projection, not normally associated with smaller travel sized guitars. For such a small guitar, it boasts an impressive dynamic range, responding eloquently to both fingerstyle and flatpickers alike. The Ct140SE also has scalloped X bracing which provides strength and solidity to the construction. Fitted to the body is a solid mahogany neck, which has been cut to Fender's "easy-to-play' comfortable profile, made to suit anyone for any style of playing. Atop of the neck sits a 20-fret, rolled edged rosewood fingerboard to allow for smooth transitions up and down the neck with ease.

Fishman Pickup & Pre-Amp

The CT-140SE is equipped with the Fishman Presys pickup system. This system allows you to amplify that fantastic sound through your favourite amplifier, PA system or even plug straight into an interface for recording. With a built in tuner, master volume control, a three-band (treble/mid/bass) EQ, and a phase switch. This allows for full control over your sound in live situations or even in you bedroom, the built in tuner also allows quick on the go tuning whether your sat in a field or between songs on stage.
